DENVER – Oct. 18, 2022 – PRLog — Veterans are a substantial percentage of the Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care (CPHC) patient census. The We Honor Veterans (WHV) program levels foster an obligation to provide the best quality of care to those who have served our country. Earning the fourth star demonstrates, the CPHC team recognizes and appreciates veterans and their families, demonstrating they have the aptitude and resources required for treating specific needs related to the patient’s military service, combat experience, and/or other traumatic life events.

“Our team members are end-of-life, compassionate care experts who have received education on identifying, assessing, and meeting the specific needs of veterans and their families. We appreciate the work of Mary Ozanic, Volunteer Coordinator, and the Denver team in helping to reach and support veterans,” said Phillip Hill, Chief Executive Officer.

“Veteran patients typically require specialized care due to their unique experiences and it is our honor to attend to them.” Mary Ozanic, explained, “Our achievement of the fourth-star designation demonstrates our commitment to these patients and their families. The WHV program helps instruct us on their particular needs and provides an outstanding library of educational resources.”
